Arcadia Pony Club – fun and friendship with Glenorie Pony Club!

On Sunday, 15th September Arcadia Pony Club invited their friends from nearby Glenorie Pony Club to be a specially planned rally day. With the school holidays on there was a great turn out from both Clubs.

The instructors from Arcadia did a wonderful job of planning and delivering a variety of activities including a full show jump course catering to all levels (from led upwards), a rider-in – action course and a range of mounted games sessions.

The members from each club were organised into riding levels and it was wonderful to see the riders from the two different clubs having so much fun together.

And the day didn’t stop at lunch with delicious food from the canteen – it ended with the very competitive “unmounted games”. With ponies all fed, watered and enjoying a break in the yards, two teams were formed with each team made up of members from both pony clubs. There was lots of laughter and enjoyment with the two relays of a different type of water balloons and apple bobbing with the winners ultimately being the ponies that ended up with the left over apples!

A huge thank you to the Arcadia Pony Club instructors for their planning, coordination and efforts on the day. Arcadia Pony Club would also like to thank the Glenorie Pony Committee for supporting the day, especially Club Secretary Paige Cape for all her help with organsisng the day along with the Rider-In- Action session on the day.

The values of Pony Club are about fun and friendship and enjoying all facets of horse riding. These joint rally days exemplify these values.
