Pony Club Ring

Glenorie Horse and Pony Club riders made up an “ALL GLENORIE” Zone 26 Team of 4 at Sydney Royal Easter Show this year.

LUCINDA O’BRIEN, Arabella Heming, Aurora Cape and Ella Stringer, along with reserves Matilda Phillips and Sarah Brown looked absolutely immaculate and their training and hard work paid off in spades when they won this prestigious class at Sydney. Special thanks to all the parents for their hard work and dedication and most importantly, to Hayley Hogan for her passion and dedication as the team coach.

Seven riders from our Zone competed at the Pony Club State Show Jumping and One Day Event Championships this month including 3 from Glenorie Pony Club. Chelsea Keary, Lateisha Hutchings and Gabby Delic all made the trip to Denman Pony Club as part of the Zone team at the State Championships.

Chelsea and Lateisha both rode in the C Grade (75-90cm) show jumping competition against a very strong field of 36 riders from across New South Wales, and some from Queensland.

Chelsea and her horse Yarandoo Royale had an excellent result for their first ever State campaign. Chelsea finished 2nd, 1st and 2nd in the first 3 rounds and went into the final round leading the championship by 10 points. A knocked rail in the final round wasn’t enough to knock her out of first place and Chelsea came away as C Grade Champion for their age group.

Gabby Delic rode her pony Dreamer in the D Grade One Day Event and also achieved an excellent result. She started with a beautiful dressage test and followed up with solid show jumping and cross country rounds, finishing in 6th place.

Lateisha and her horse Little Blue consistently placed in the top 10, which was a great achievement. Lateisha also rode in the One Day Event, but unfortunately due to timing/judging problems, results were not released.

A huge congratulations to all 3 girls and their horses on such outstanding results at a state level!

Also during the holidays, we had a number of riders successfully represent Glenorie at the Hawkesbury Winter Show. Matilda and Charlotte Phillips, Aurora Cape, Alexa Garcia, Brooke and Laura Parker, Ruby Ventham, Emma Chisholm and Olivia Williamson all looked stunning and rode their horses beautifully at the event. Congratulations to the following riders on their results at the Hawkesbury Show:
