The Hills Shire is set to ignite the Australia Day celebrations with a double dose of fun and excitement.
The day kicks off at Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre from 10am to 3pm with a massive pool party. Families can enjoy a free sausage sizzle, an inflatable obstacle course in the 50m pool, and upbeat tunes from a DJ and roving entertainers.
As the sun begins to set, the festivities move to Bella Vista Farm for an evening of live music, family fun, and fireworks. Headlining the event is Australian singer Ricki-Lee, who will perform her biggest hits.
Families can also indulge in a range of delicious food trucks, enjoy free activities, and be mesmerized by the interactive renditions of Junkyard Beats. The little ones will be thrilled with the exclusive Bluey Live Interactive Experience.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne, expressed her excitement about the event, stating, “Australia Day is a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to come together and celebrate our diversity, spirit, and unity.”
She added, “We’re thrilled to offer a fun-filled day that has something for everyone – from the pool party at Waves to the fantastic lineup of entertainment and fireworks at Bella Vista Farm.”
The evening will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display that will light up the night sky.
