KU Galston Preschool

Who can believe that we are at the end of term, where does the time go? I would like to thank Gary and the team at the Galston Branch of the Bendigo Bank for their kind donation which has allowed us to replace the softfall in our outdoor learning environment. It is through the support of local businesses that help us, as a not for profit community preschool, update our environment making it a wonderful place for our children to learn and growthank you Bendigo Bank!

We have been busy with Grandparents/VIP week where grandparents and important people were invited to preschool to share some time with our children and to have morning tea. The children found this a worthwhile experience as they love introducing their grandparents to their friends and showing them how clever they are.

We have been concentrating on getting ready for school, practicing writing our names, taking care of our belongings and playing games. Our favourite games are snap, snail race, mouse trap maths, connect four, number bingo and snakes and ladders. These games are developing our problem solving skills, attention spans, turn taking skills within a small group. Outdoors we have enjoyed the obstacle course of climbing, balancing and jumping and have been focusing on our ball skills of catching and throwing.

We will soon be enrolling for 2018, if you have a child who will be eligible for preschool please feel free to contact our director Rebecca Onslow on 9653 2252 or at [email protected] for further information.
