RECRUITMENT INFORMATION SESSION – SUNDAY 24/11/2019
We are currently recruiting for more volunteers to join Glenorie Fire Brigade. There is a role for everyone and we would love for you to be a part of our wonderful team. Do you want to know what is involved in being a member of the Rural Fire Service? Well come and join us at our information session on Sunday 24 Novemeber at 11:00. There will be a BBQ, Tea and Coffee provided for everyone that attends. If you cannot make this session then get in touch with our Recruitment Coordinator on 0422168914 and they would be happy to arrange to meet you at the station at a more convenient time.
BUSH FIRE SURVIVAL PLAN
With conditions only getting warmer and dryer we encourage residents to review their Bush Fire Survival Plan. If you dk t have a plan, now is your time to create one. If you need assistance with this or would like to pick one up, please get in touch with us on the phone number at the end of this article or drop by the station one Saturday afternoon at 2pm or Monday night at 8pm and one of our members would be happy to assist.
WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UP TO
Things sure have been busy at the station. Our members attended the District Operational Readiness Check day. All vehicles were assessed to ensure they’re ready for this fire season. We have also been busy inspecting fire trails to make sure they’re easily accessible for use in emergencies. Members have also been training hard in different activities and scenarios to make sure we can work quickly and efficiently when we get called out.
