For members of Dural Bocce Club 2025 ended with lots of celebration. The annual combined Christmas Party and Presentation Ceremony was held in mid December.
Many thanks to the management of The Dural Club and the bocce club committee for a wonderful afternoon of friendship, food and fun.
Annual awards were presented to our 2025 champions, Tony and Mario, and runners-up, Guido and Ferdinando. Also receiving awards were our most improved female and male players for the year – congratulations to Patricia and John.
Most importantly, at the suggestion of club members, the club paid tribute to our long- time member Aldo awarding him the Lifetime Contribution Award. Aldo has been an important club member for over 40 years. During that time, he has been an active player and member of the committee, as well as representing Dural at inter-club competitions.
However, it is in his role as our club captain that he quietly demonstrates good sportsmanship and encourages all members to play to the best of their ability and enjoy the game.
All club members now look forward to lots of fun and competition in 2026. Anyone wishing to “come and try” bocce is invited to join us on any Tuesday morning or Friday night at The Dural Club.
