A testament to the thriving community of Wisemans Ferry and surrounding area now stands in the grounds of the Wisemans Ferry Bowling Club.
The new Men’s Shed has moved from a back yard shed generously provided by a local resident, to the 270 sq metre shed we see today.
Well equipped with a kitchen, toilets and a huge workshop for the community to potter, construct, tell yarns, share their knowledge and life skills and experience. There are access ramps and nearby parking is available in the grounds of the Wisemans Ferry Bowling Club.
The Men’s Shed will not only be looking out for the locals and visitors, they will be delivering real benefits the community— organizing and participating in events, arts and crafts. Other activities currently under discussion include a community bus, speaking book library, computer, and to provide tutors for specific skills ie wood, metal and computer.
