The ladies who usually meet at 9am for a 9.30 start on the green have put the start back to the later time of 9.30 ready for 10.00 starts. This not only allows a sleep-in but gives the greenkeeper time to get the dew off the greens.
On the green, in spite of the drizzle the Minor Singles was finalised with Christine Fitzgerald getting the better of Marilyn Bonvino. These two newer bowlers at the Country Club had a good game and Marilyn will get another chance next year.
