The team at Dural Anglican Church are pleased to be launching the annual Winter Food Drive for 2022. Everyone knows that cost of living pressures are growing.
From petrol to lettuce to interest rates and everything in between… people are feeling the stress.
And these rising costs are especially hard on those who were already vulnerable to poverty and financial hardship.
The good news is, there’s a really simple way for you to make a big difference.
In partnership with Anglicare, Dural Anglican will be collecting non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products for distribution across Sydney’s neediest regions.
On the weekend of August 6-7, the people of Dural Anglican will be collecting at local supermarkets – IGA Galston and Dural with Woolworths Round Corner and Glenorie. Plus, you can drop off items to St Jude’s Dural too if that’s more convenient.
Helpful items include non-perishable items like pasta and pasta sauce, rice, tinned soup and tinned fish, long-life milk, nappies, soap and other basic hygiene products.
Why does Dural Anglican do this? Motivated by the love we’ve received from Jesus, the people of Dural Anglican are committed to doing what we can to share Jesus’ love with others. If you want to find out more, join us one Sunday – 8am, 10am and 6pm at St Jude’s Dural and 9:30am at Christ Church Kenthurst.
As well as the Food Drive and weekly Sunday services, Dural Anglican is an active local church in your community. During term time we run a Friday morning playgroup, a K-5 kids’ program on Friday afternoons plus two youth groups for years 6-8 and 9-12 on Friday nights. We’d love to welcome you.
When it comes to the Food Drive, it can only happen because of the generous support of our amazing community along with our supermarket partners and the Galston Community Bank. Thank you so much.
– Dougal Michie, Senior Minister at Dural Anglican Churches
