From a young age Anthony Waring has had a fascination for fine automobiles, and is why he has created another arm to his business Personal Automotive located in Dural.
He started the PA business back in 1986 where he chose one to do with cars “if you love what you do in business it will always be successful”.
His love of Classic cars developed further when Anthony was offered a 1961 Mercedes 190sl approx.. 15 years ago.
“ I first saw the car 3 years prior when I delivered a new vehicle to the family. A few years later I was welcomed back to buy her. A new battery and fuel down the carbies and I was off!
I then offered the car to a wholesaler in Balmain whom wouldn’t pay the extra $1k for it…I didn’t know what to do so my wife said “just make it beautiful”.
That I did and over 4000 hours later and 12 years we were invited to show her at Motorclassica in Melbourne where we won!”
Anthony not only is super handy with all types of projects but also has a knack at aligning the best quality subcontractors for the budget intended. He also knows what it is like to give a car to “someone” and then receive a ridiculous bill which doesn’t reflect the job.
