Christmas is done and dusted for another year and it’s time to pack away and recycle the Christmas tree. Here are some helpful tips on how you can dispose of or reuse your tree
For real trees:
🔸If trees can be cut up to less than 1m in length and 75mm in diameter, they can be placed in the green-lidded garden organics bin.
🔸If your tree is too large for the green-lidded bin, residents can book a household kerbside clean- up collection, and cut trees to size (1.5m length and 10cm diameter).
For artificial trees:
🔸Artificial trees can be stored for reuse next Christmas, or repurposed as Christmas decorations for future festive seasons.
🔸You can also donate your artificial tree to your nearest charity shop if you don’t wish to keep it.
