There’s an APP for that…

Post Christmas Recovery

Well, the damage has been done and now we are into our new year recovery mode. There are so many apps to help keep us on track. I, personally, use my Apple Health App that is linked to my new Apple 3 watch, one of the many devices available to help monitor exercise. The Apple Health App offers a feature called Medical ID which allows Emergency Services personnel immediate access to my medical information via a locked phone. This is invaluable information during an emergency. MyFitnessPal is also, a great app for recording food intake and includes a bar code reader to take the guess work out of nutritional information provided on food packaging. Strava is another extremely popular app, especially for those keen athletes as it allows them to keep exercise stats, compete against others and map their progress and performance.

For those of you with kids at school make sure you download the Australian School Holiday app. It will update your phone’s calendar with current school terms and public holidays. Even if you don’t have kids at school it’s always nice to know when traffic will be lighter!

There are over 2 million apps available. These are just a few that I have found over the years of helping people with their Apple devices and computers.

In 2018, I have organised some interesting workshops including “Photo to Frame” using your iPad/iPhone as well as a Getting Started workshops.
