THERE’S AN APP FOR THAT… TRAVELING AGAIN

This article traveling on a fast train from Amsterdam to Paris. Every time I travel it amazes me how technology can make things a little easier. I respect those who still wish to use a printed map and send a postcard with a stamp but being a technology tragic that is not the way I tend to work.

There is an app that I have used a few times on this trip when I self guide. GPSmyCity is a great app for finding different tours of many cities. You can download the self guided walking tours for the city and use the app offline which is great if you are saving on mobile data. You are given different tour options depending on where you are visiting. For Krakow, Poland some of the options were “ Old Town District” and “Art Galleries Walk” whilst in Brugge there was also the option for “Famous Bars”. Every city has a City Orientation walk and you can also organise your own walks as well as select all the “Must Sees”. A map which uses your phones GPS helps guide you around the city and when you are near the site you can mark it off on the App as long as you are within 250metres.

The app costs $26.49 a year which, considering the detail you get and the different tour options, I believe, is quite good value.

There are over 2 million apps available. These are just a few that I have found throughout the years of helping people with their Apple devices and computers.

If you are struggling to understand your Apple device, please give me a call and we can discuss One on One sessions. Debbie on Mob: 0418296217 or email: [email protected]
