Well, it is always interesting trying to work out new apps to share with you. A friend made a suggestion for the Splitwise App and to be honest I can’t believe I hadn’t discovered it earlier.
So often when we travel or just go to dinner with friends, we find ourselves paying the bill for the group and then having to work out who owes what to whom. This App helps you sort it all out and reminds you of who owes you money and to whom you owe money. It comes into its own when travelling overseas as it can also deal with different currencies. The paid version (Cost of $39.99/year) can do current conversions if you want to be paid in Australian dollars.You can also set up a group for those that you are travelling with, removing the need for a kitty and carrying cash around. The Pro version also offers the option of Receipt scanning which is great for both personal and business use.
The App also helps deal with those restaurants which don’t take multiple payments and prefer card only. In this case, someone pays the bill and then sends out the “you owe” on Splitwise. I can’t wait for my next group holiday to make full use of this very useful App.
