Getting a little over listening to the news and reading the paper? Or would you just like to relax in a chair and listen to something interesting? Then maybe you should start listening to a Podcast.
Podcasting is a free service that allows internet users to listen to audio files. Unlike radio, where you have to listen to a particular broadcast, a Podcast can be downloaded and listened to at any time, making it very convenient. You will first need to make sure that you have the Podcast App. With an Apple device it should be automatically downloaded onto your device.
Lots of Radio shows are being turned into Podcasts. For example, “Conversations” with Richard Fidler, where he interviews a variety of guests, are now Podcasts. Another fun recommendation would be “No Such Thing As A Fish” which is a podcast from the QI offices where the writers of the hit BBC show come up with the best things they’ve found out that week. If you are into crime solving podcasts, there are also plenty of podcasts that discuss how crimes are solved. Some of you may have heard of the controversial ‘Teacher’s Pet’.
Our Editor’s recommendation, ‘The Moth’, a presentation of thousands of true stories sounds very interesting. If you enjoy comedy ‘The Guilty Feminist’ is another podcast that may suit you.
There are over 2 million Apps available. These are just a few that I have found throughout the years of helping people with their Apple devices and computers.
If you are struggling to understand your Apple device, please give me a call and we can discuss One on One sessions. Debbie on Mob: 0418 296 217 or email: [email protected]
