Sometime between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day a picture ( framed copy of The Last Supper) over the altar and an old wooden cross kept in the centre of the altar were stolen. These items have been in the church for many, many decades.
The local congregation are very saddened by the theft. On Sunday, 31 December, it was reported to the police who visited and gathered forensic evidence on the Sunday afternoon.
They are not worth anything in dollar terms but are of great sentimental value.
