Teen Charged Following Stabbing at Castle Hill

A teenage boy has been charged following a stabbing at Castle Hill earlier this week.

Emergency services were called to Fred Caterson Reserve, on Caterson Drive, about 2.50pm on Sunday (20 November 2022), where they found a 15-year-old boy with a stab wound.

Police will allege the teen and two of his friends were involved in an altercation with a group of youths in the car park before he was allegedly stabbed in the chest.

His friends, along with the other group, left the reserve prior to the arrival of emergency services. The injured teen was treated by Ambulance paramedics before being taken to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Officers from The Hills Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, about 8am today (Wednesday 23 November 2022), detectives executed a search warrant at a home on at Parklea.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station. He was charged with wield knife in a public place, custody of knife in public place, affray, and reckless wounding,

He was given conditional bail to appear before a children’s court on next month. Enquiries into the incident continue.
