Glenorie Preschool was lucky enough to receive ‘start strong funding’ under the quality learning environment program.
We used the money to redevelop our playground. The soft fall and outdated equipment has been replaced with astroturf, a bike track, chicken coop, wooden teepee and climbing frame. Scattered throughout the playground are musical instruments.
But, the ultimate winner has been the mud pit. The kids are cooking, making monster truck tracks and just getting dirty! The clothes may come home messy but it is a small price to pay for the absolute delight our kids are having. The multi-purpose stage can be used as an outdoor learning space, a dance floor or a peaceful reading escape.
Enrollments for 2-5yr olds are now being taken for 2022.
