St Benedict’s News

Sacramental Program
Thirty-one young people from the parish received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday 5th August. Congratulations to all and to the parishioners, families and visitors who supported them.

Farewell to Theresa
Sandra, our new Parish Secretary, is settling well into her new position but we were also pleased to be able to arrange a morning tea for retiring secretary Theresa Neely. On this occasion Theresa was officially thanked for her more than a decade of service to the parish. She is shown cutting the luscious cake that she shared with the parishioners as they congratulated her and wished her all the best for the future.

New Playgroup
The parish has started a new playgroup every Monday between 10am and 12noon. All children and their carers are welcome. This is a great opportunity for all attending to get to know each other and enjoy each other’s company.

New Parish Pastoral Council
We have been delighted to welcome the members of our new Parish Pastoral Council and are particularly pleased that so many of the councillors are younger, second generation parishioners. Thank you to all of you.
