At Dural Country Club Leone Lesslie added the 2018 Consistency Singles title to her incredible list of successes. It did not come easily as Terri Hezlett, who had played three rounds of impeccable bowls, again played well but Leone’s skill and experience won the day. Congratulations.
The Senior Fours team, who had one personnel change, won the regional play-off. After another change, they went to the State Play off where they met Dubbo City in the second round. After rain and lightning delays they were narrowly defeated. According to the team the best part came at after the final when Dubbo emerged the state champions. Well done to the 6 ladies who took Dural so far.
Recently four new ladies started playing bowls and are already enjoying the challenge of the game and the offerings of the coffee shop and the friendship of the members. The club welcomed Terese Giglio, Cheryle Hobart, Carol Lingham and Brigitte Szlasko after they had finished their initial coaching.
