SCREEN ON THE GREEN INVITES TO A FUN FAMILY WEEKEND

Pack up the picnic rug, grab the kids, meet your friends and why not invite grandma, too, to a free family outing at Screen on the Green this weekend.

“I love how events like Screen on the Green bring people of all ages and from all over the shire together to enjoy free entertainment and a movie under the stars,” Hornsby Shire Council Mayor Philip Ruddock said.

“Screen on the Green is one of Hornsby Shire Council’s most popular family events and this year is promising to be a real highlight featuring two of 2018’s most highly acclaimed movies.”

On Friday, 21 September, ‘Peter Rabbit’ will be hopping across the green at Hornsby Park.

‘Arlo the Dinosaur’ will be stomping along and ‘Kids on Congas’ will make sure no one skips a beat.

On Saturday, 22 September, Hornsby Park will transform into a giant circus arena when ‘The Greatest Showman’ takes over.

The Snors Family on their penny farthing (pictured) will set the scene and perform breathtaking acrobatic acts before everyone gets to sing along to their favourite songs in this blockbuster musical.

Some of Sydney’s best food trucks will set up camp around Hornsby Park and Hornsby Shire Council is inviting everyone to enjoy free popcorn and fairy floss.

Gates will open at 5:30pm for a 7pm movie start on both nights.

There will be limited numbers of bean bags and cushioned milk crates available for seating.

So come early, find a great spot, and enjoy the show!
