SALVATION ARMY NEWS

The local Salvation Army Family stores at Dural and Glenorie have launched into the new year in a flurry of activity.

In the wake of the previous manager leaving to pursue a career in counselling, Brenda has stepped into the void to hold the fort. Regular customers will know Brenda as the lovely person who always has a smile to greet everyone who enters the store. She will be helped by Mandy who, with her computer and organisational skills, is another very positive addition to the team.

The focus this month is on handbags. There is always a wide selection of coin purses, large and small, and wallets, while hand bags range from cross body, over the shoulder, and handled, in leather, vinyl, canvas, mesh or cotton, day wear or evening.

Do you know your brands?? Be on the look out for Cellini, Coach, Mimco, Colette, Yves St Laurent and Kate Spade, to name a few.

Volunteers Vicky and Consiglia do an excellent job sorting through the donations that are dropped off on a regular basis. If you would like them to look out for a particular style for you, please record your request in our Wish Book.

Volunteers in all other sections are busy stocking racks and shelves a d with generous donations of everything from teaspoons to bicycles, you are assured of new items going out for sale every day of the week.

We hope you will come and visit us, and we wish each and every one of you a happy, healthy and peace-filled New Year.
