Open on Wednesdays only, trading at Glenorie has recently been extended to both Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30am to 3pm.
The Salvation Army is currently recruiting community-minded people who can volunteer a few hours per week to help sort through donations, stock shelves, and look after customers at both its Glenorie and Dural stores.
Extending the hours at Glenorie is dependant on new volunteers offering their time and enthusiasm to assist the Salvation Army in its focus on helping needy people in the community. It is hoped that the store could open 5 days per week in time for Christmas trade.
Interested members of the community can sign up via the Salvation Army Facebook page, or are invited to visit the Dural store on Quarry Road, Dural to discuss the volunteer role.
