The Roxborough Park Rose Garden reopens to the public and turns 50 years old

Today, the 23rd of September 2022 is the 50th anniversary to the day of the opening of the Roxborough Park Rose Garden. The Rose Garden is considered one of the largest of its kind in Sydney, rivalled only by the rose garden within the Royal Botanic Gardens.

It was a pleasure to celebrate the occasion by reopening the garden following the completion of stage one of the refurbishment works. $300,000 has been spent to

  • Install a new arbour
  • Upgrade the pathways to coloured concrete to improve accessibility
  • Construct a new sandstone central staircase and sandstone retaining walls
  • Replace the seating
  • Install steel edging around the garden beds

The upgraded rose garden integrates with the brand-new Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre, the café and the surrounding athletics field to form a focal point for The Hills community for years to come[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][us_image image=”83557″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
