FRNSW crews were today (5 July 2022) saddled with the responsibility of rescuing two people and six horses after they became trapped by floodwater in Sydney’s north-west
Emergency services were called to Pages Wharf Road in Sackville North after a woman raised concerns for her parents who were unable to make it off their property.
NSW SES and FRNSW deployed inflatable rafts and swift water rescue teams to reach them and take them to higher ground.
The rescue was completed without further incident and the horses are in a ‘stable’ condition.
