Play equipment for New Hope School

Member for Hornsby Matt Kean MP was pleased to provide New Hope School with the funds for new play equipment thanks to a Community Building Partnership grant of $30,000.

The program assists community groups to make upgrades to their facilities, purchase equipment or provide essential repairs. New Hope School is one of 15 community groups who will benefit from Community Building Partnership grants from Mr Kean.

“It is with great pride that I am able to assist New Hope School to build new play equipment for the students,” Mr Kean said.

“The NSW State Government is committed to providing funds to community groups for large scale projects like this upgrade at the school,” he said.

New Hope School is within Pacific Hills Christian School and caters for students with a moderate level of Intellectual delay or who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The new play equipment will replace the veggie and herb garden which will be moved to another location within the school.

Mr Kean recently visited New Hope with Principal Dr Boyce to speak to the students about the new equipment.

“I met with Finlay and she is happy to hear there will be new play equipment for her and her friends to enjoy every lunchtime,” Mr Kean said.
