Pacific Hills Christian School – Supporting R U OK? Day

On Thursday 12th September, Pacific Hills Christian School community rallied around and supported R U OK? Day.

Students and teachers added yellow accessories to their uniforms and outfits in support of the day and mental health awareness. 500 RUOK?

Day stickers were handed out and Wellbeing and Hospitality Prefects ran a BBQ with all funds raised going to Lifeline. Lauren Graham, Pacific Group Director of Wellbeing writes “What I love about RUOK? Day, is the way it works to destigmatise mental health issues and normalise conversations about checking in with each other about how we are really going.

It is such a powerful way to show interest in and support for those who are on this journey.” A fundamental part of the Pacific Hills community is caring for each other and showing support, particularly when times are tough. We are proud to get behind a cause like R U OK? Day as we encourage students, teachers and parents to continue to check-in on each other throughout the year.

If you or someone you know need support and someone to talk to, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
