Our Lady of Fatima Feast Day – Sunday 9 th October

This was a very successful event with parish children acting out the story or Fatima, when in 1917 the Virgin Mary appeared six times over a number of months to three Portuguese children who were herding sheep near the then-tiny town. Ninety-nine years later Fatima is an important pilgrimage site that receives thousands of worshipful visitors each year, especially in the months between May and October. The play was followed by a procession, Mass and a celebratory supper.

Bishop Peter’s coming visit

On the weekend of 10 th – 11 th December our local Broken Bay bishop, Bishop Peter Comensoli, will be visiting our parish and joining in our celebration of Mass on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. We’re very excited about this visit, especially as Sunday 11 th is the date of our usual monthly Children’s Mass. Let’s hope the bishop like
