Outstanding HSC Results

Congratulations to our Galston High School 2016 HSC students who have achieved outstanding results.
We congratulate Dean Wunder who achieved an ATAR of 97.45, making him the 2016 Dux of Galston High School. Seven other students also gained an ATAR above 90 and are recognised for their Distinguished All Round Academic Achievement:

Galston High School has placed in the top 200 schools at 187 – a remarkable achievement for a fully comprehensive coeducational high school, and placed 42nd out of all government comprehensive high schools across the state. 25% of our students scored at least one Band 6 (mark of 90 or higher) placing them on the BOSTES Distinguished Achievers List. 17% of students gained a Band 6 in two or more subjects. 73% of students scored at least one subject above 80 marks (Band 5 or higher). Year 12 achieved 31 Band 6/E4 results and 110 Band 5 results.
Galston High School congratulates all Year 12 students on these impressive results and wish them well in their futures. We will be acknowledging these fine results at the High Achievers Assembly on Tuesday 7th February 2017.
