Ethan Marlow is one of 40 years 11 school students from across NSW who recently attended a week long, fully subsidised residential course designed for attendees to gain a first-hand insight into financial markets and the many career paths open to them. Ethan was chosen after a rigorous application process that outlined just how outstanding this young man is. As dux of Year 9 & 10, Ethan has consistently been ranked first or second in his subjects. His passion in Mathematics has meant that he currently is accelerated in 2 Unit and Extension 1 Mathematics and will sit the Higher School Certificate this year. Ethan loved learning about the corporate environment. As he says, ‘I particularly found the lectures by the equities managers especially insightful. I also enjoyed meeting so many interesting students from all over NSW who I still keep in contact with’. Congratulations, Ethan. A well-deserved reward for all your dedication and hard-work.
Galston Colour Run
Galston High School students were very excited to be involved with Rotary Galston and the Galston and Glenorie News in the Alan Clarkson Colour Run Festival held recently at the Galston Recreational Reserve. Congratulations to all the organisers for putting the time and effort into providing such a fun community event for everyone to enjoy. Thank you also to the continued support of the Galston Branch of the Bendigo Bank.
