Happy New Year from the Arcadian Quilters

With our end-of-year activities over it’s TIME for the quilting group to start stitching, creating and contributing to our surrounding community for 2024.

We called our first meeting for this year a “WORKSHOP” meeting. Starting bright and early, sewing machines at the ready, we set about creating new quilt tops made from the ‘potato-chip-blocks’ (which became holiday-homework) for us after our Christmas Lunch Party.

A cute name meaning that JUST ONE POTATO CHIP IS NEVER ENOUGH!!! A big achievement for our first meeting as we made 8 Potato-Chip-quilt tops and one Christmas theme quilt top!!!

We had a young lady visitor, Ginger Choudhary, who joined our meeting on Wednesday. She is a Yr12 student from Hornsby Girls High and is keen on learning more about Patchwork.

A very welcome new friend and we will hope to see more of her, school timetable permitting ?

There is a lot to appreciate around us; a lot to share with friends and many ways to stay in touch… let’s ALL do it together this year!!!
