You heard it here first! The Galston Swim Club has created a new type of membership, specifically designed for those who want to “put their toe in the water”, so to speak. “Galston Kingfishers” annual membership is only $60 per year, and that allows you entry into the many Friday night carnivals held at Galston pool, the annual Galston mini meet and Speedo Sprints held annually at Blacktown Pool. If swimming really takes your fancy (and we are sure it will), you can simply upgrade to full membership, allowing you entry into all carnivals over Sydney. We are so glad to be back at the freshly rejuvenated Galston Pool. Four months swimming at Hornsby Pool right through winter was a test for the swimmers (and parents), but we have made it. Our cars can drive the gorge by themselves now.
A special thankyou to Galston IGA who supplied all the sausages, bread and sauces for our recent fund raising BBQ. With no costs, we were able to make more than $600.
