Suzanne Vindin is the new champion having just won the Major Singles Championship. En route to the final, Sue played some of the best in the club and conquered some of the nerves she has had during her relatively short playing time. It is not only the good shots one plays in bowls but the time they are played and in the final Sue produced the top shot when facing impending disaster. Well done, and congratulations to the runner-up, Christine Fitzgerald who held a slight lead going into the last end. Christine, one of the newest bowlers in the club has had a great time since joining in late 2015 reaching three singles finals and being in some winning teams in 2016-7. Dural looks forward to their development in the future.
Both Sue and Chris were among the twelve who competed at the State carnival at Warilla and surrounding towns. Robin Davidson’s team, Eileen Bromley, Elizabeth Whelan and Diana Sweeney were again successful winning their section undefeated over the first three days. Well done!
