Small class sizes ensure meaningful connections between teachers and students emerge from day one. Trust is built and a mutual understanding of each other can happen.

Teachers know each student’s individual capabilities and can spend more time focusing on what each student needs to succeed, how to keep them excited and engaged, and can determine the areas where they may need extra support.

In 2022 Naplan and the State based Check- In Assessment our Year 3 and 5 students achieved results above similar school groups and state in both Reading and Numeracy.

Our students reached State finals in the Small Schools Swimming Relay, four by 100m Athletics Relay and Touch Football. Hillside provides opportunities for every student to achieve their personal best. Our students are Respectful, Responsible Learners.
