Another full term has flown by, with the children participating in many learning activities.
All our new Kindergarten children enjoyed kinder orientation. At the end of orientation, it was as if they had been at big school the whole year!
Winners of the Kindness Award and Aussie of the Month for October were Thomas and Rebecca.
Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 thoroughly enjoyed attending the League Tag Gala Day, playing many teams and displaying exemplary sportsmanship.
Mr Julian Leeser, Federal Member for Berowra, came to our school to speak with our senior students. Our friends from Middle Dural School joined us as well.
Mr Leeser spoke to the students about the history of government in Australia and the day in the life of a member of parliament. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to ask questions and consolidated what they have been learning in class. We look forward to visiting Parliament House when we visit Canberra later this term.
Swim School is happening and already there is huge improvement amongst all our swimmers. We cannot wait to see what the end of week 2 will bring. All of the Hillside staff are extremely proud of the students as they all are very responsible, active listeners and show wonderful behaviour. Also a huge thankyou to parent helpers. We could not do this without you!
What a great night for those who attended the Hillside Auction Night. A night of laughs, friendship and bidding and winning fabulous prizes. Thank you to all those who attended.
