Hillside Public School

These problem solving activities have seen the design and making of parachutes and boats for toy soldiers using limited resources. We are encouraging students’ creativity and critical thinking in the classrooms and have the students developing their collaboration, cooperation and communication skills in all facets of school life. Sport and student fitness are crucial for the well-being or all our students. After a very successful performance at the Zone Swimming Carnival, our relay team qualified to swim at the upcoming Sydney North Swimming Carnival at Homebush. All students are currently training for the School Cross Country being held early next term and are participating in weekly aerobic classes. Later this term they will be involved in 5 days of gymnastics lessons. The school has also entered in the Small Schools Soccer Knockout so the students are busy training for this as well.
