Hi Hills Hawks family

It’s been a while … hope you’re all safe and well. Hawks

You might have noticed we, at your committee, love what we do, and we do have a lot of fun along the way. There is also a whole lot of different people making it all happen behind the scenes and on the front line, but we need you to keep a good thing going.

We would like to offer the opportunity to join an Observer program. This programme allows those interested in shadowing our committee without being thrown in the deep end. A bit of a try before you buy experience to see what areas of the committee you might enjoy serving in.

We have a great long-serving Club President and Registrar combo in Ian and Karen. Jodi is our Secretary extraordinaire who keeps us all on track with our internal comms/minutes and team app blasts. Pete G, VP Mini’s runs our Epic Gala day, Richard and Pete Hawks.

who look after our Training needs and partnership with Kano. Mike is our Membership protection officer, Adam, who runs our Canteen and BBQ along with a whole bunch of us – jumping in the trenches, along with their kids operating the front counter. Nat, our friendly Registrar, Chris our Gear Steward, Mel, in accounts, Rob, VP Competitions, The Two Johnnies (John D, Groundsman ND John C (asst Groundsman) in training transitioned by Benny), Mark as our Association rep, Conrad on i-Compman and Frosty and I in Promo / Sponsorship taking over the longserving James (Green and Gold) Cotrona.

From the moment I joined our club I was impressed by what a tight-knit bunch we are and how everyone seemed to get along and know it to be true.

We all love our Saturdays, when Hayes comes alive with our Juniors and their families, and a good few of us hang around for the All age, 35’s, 45’s, Men’s and Ladies Premier League. It is great how our boys inspire our Juniors to the future. So much happens throughout the season including a Gala day where we are honoured to host over 50 clubs or more.

It’s well worth getting involved. We need to make sure we’re always planning for the future so that a few good men and women don’t get burned out. This is why we’re looking to share roles where we can so we can all balance work, family and community life.

Don’t be shy, drop an email or a note on messenger or feel free to call any of us via our contact list to find out more about what we do and how you might get involved ..https://hillshawksfc.com/club-commitee/

We look forward to hearing from you and … Go Hawks! Owen Matheson
