Storm damage
Galston and surrounding areas suffered immensely when a string of severe summer storms battered houses, cars and powerlines. There was widespread damage all around our area with trees and wires down, power outages, complex repairs to the electricity grid, and homes damaged.
Thanks to all the RFS firies and SES volunteers who worked tirelessly to help clear the damage.
Fire trail clearage
With the summer weather forecast to be hot and with chances of further heatwaves we’re working to inspect local fire trails to ensure they are clear and ready for use, especially after the recent storm events.

Also, thank you to everyone in the community who greeted Santa during the annual Santa Run last year. It was great to see the community spirit alive and well in Galston!
