Thank you to all those who participated in our Kokedama workshop- Kokedama translated from Japanese means “moss ball”, it is a form of bonsai. We will be selling some of our work at the elections being held on September 9th at Galston Public School.
We currently have some trauma teddies for hospitals that are knitted but need finishing off with sewing, stuffing and faces. Please contact Melissa if interested in lending a hand in finishing these bears. Workshop will be help during our September meeting.
Next meeting will be our International Day. This year we have been studying NEPAL. Our primary school projects will be judged and those winning will go onto group level. Good luck to our entrants. We welcome our newest members Eliza and Tiffany. They are junior members, receiving the membership as a thank you for entering in the junior cooking competition this year. Eliza was able to get to State level with her ANZAC biscuits. Congratulations. Our general members range in age from 30 years to 90+. We are currently looking for new members with an evening group once every quarter being considered for those who are unable to attend during the day.
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday August 9th for International Day, starting at 10:30a.m.
We meet at the Galston Health and Community Centre, cnr Glade and 17 Arcadia Road, Galston. Visitors are most welcome to attend.
