SPOTLIGHT ON THE EPICENTRE OF ITALIAN CUISINE, WEDNESDAY 28 OCTOBER 12PM
After the success of their first two Festa Italiana regional lunches, this month Allegro is throwing the culinary spotlight on the epicentre of Italian Cuisine, the region of Emilia- Romagna.
Situated in the northeast section of the country, comprising the historical regions of Emilia and Romagna this region lies between other famous regions of Veneto and Tuscany. Considered one of the richest regions of Italy regarding its gastronomic and wine-making tradition.
The region is most famous for Parmesan Cheese, Balsamic Vinegar and Prosciutto to name but a few, made by legally binding traditional procedures. Pasta and Polenta are very much part of the local diet.
Chef David Camwell will be preparing a menu showcasing authentic dishes of the region, for the third event in our series of Allegro Italian regional menu luncheons. ‘Festa Italiana Emilia-Romagna’ luncheon: 12pm Wednesday 28 October.
