Cancer Council NSW is encouraging Greater Western Sydney residents to set a walking or running challenge and feel the charge while fundraising for cancer.
Funds raised from The March Charge supports Cancer Council’s ground-breaking research across all cancers.
Money raised helps provide practical and emotional support and information for anyone affected by cancer, as well as run prevention programs to reduce cancer in the community.
People can charge as an individual or join other chargers and compete as a team. By participating in The March Charge, Greater Western Sydney residents will aid thousands of people diagnosed with cancer each year while reducing their own cancer risk.
Roughly 37,000 Australian cancer cases – or one in three cancers – could be avoided each year through lifestyle changes such as regular physical exercise, maintaining a healthy body weight and enjoying a healthy diet .
