FANTASTIC FUTURES ARE BUILT ON BRIGHT BEGINNINGS

Starting big school is one of life’s big adventures, and not just for the little ones! Arcadia Public School is known for the comprehensive and varied transition to school program we provide to our lovely little ‘newbies’. We support the children and their families as they prepare for school, making them feel secure, connected and confident for their wonderful school career ahead. Whether it is getting into some drawing with their Year 4 buddies, enjoying a story and getting to know Mrs Crouch as she visits their preschool or milking a cow at our unique open day – Arcadia Agriculture Adventure, we care and work together to make starting school a positive, happy experience.

Becoming articulate, thoughtful communicators is a goal for each of our students. We start small, introducing public speaking in Kindergarten and building from there. Georgia and Amelie in Year 6 have excelled as outstanding debaters and award-winning speakers at the inaugural Lions Club of West Pennant Hills Public Speaking Event, sponsored by Galston Branch of Bendigo Bank and the YMCA. Congratulations Georgia and to Amelie who was awarded first place for her impromptu speech. The topic was, What are the 3 keys to success? With only 2 minutes to prepare, education, having people who believe in you and perseverance was the winning combination expressed by Amelie. Absolutely the foundations in the culture of Arcadia.

Arcadia Public School is incredibly fortunate to benefit from the generous sponsorship of the Galston Branch of Bendigo Bank. Their funding support, in conjunction with APS P&C has seen new large screen interactive whiteboards installed in every classroom this year – excellent learning tools accessible to every student. Our lovely students will perform Christmas carols outside the Galston branch on Thursday December 12 at 9.30am. Thank you Bendigo Bank!
