Tim Sowden, a former radio journalist, has uncovered the history of the Thornleigh Zig Zag Railway, a short-lived freight line from the late 1800s. His research led to the book Zig Zag Away: Thornleigh’s Little Railway With A Big Story, published by the Hornsby Shire Historical Society. A resident of Westleigh, Thornleigh, and Pennant Hills, Tim is committed to highlighting overlooked aspects of local history.
