Dural Public School

In the heart of our school community lies a hidden gem, a powerhouse of harmony and camaraderie, where the young musicians of Dural Public School bands come together through the sounds of brass, woodwind, and percussion to captivate listeners of all ages.

After the pandemic, which essentially silenced our bands and music program altogether, this amazing group of talented, dedicated, and motivated students is once again enjoying working together and building upon their musical repertoire.

The band plays from a wide variety of genres, contributing to the school community on numerous occasions throughout the year. They are an essential part of formal school assemblies, including ANZAC services, and Presentation Days, and they also enjoy contributing to the more relaxed atmosphere of the school’s Country Fair.

The band has recently attended the annual three-day band camp where they focused on learning new pieces in preparation for their Term 3 performances. The band is also preparing pieces in order to defend their 1st place in the primary section at the Penrith Eisteddfod in August.
