This year Dural women bowlers have been playing within the Mitchell District which spans from Dural to Blacktown, Toongabbie and Baulkham Hills and in between. Recently Mitchel played three competitions with other districts and regions and five Dural players were chosen. The teams Dural girls played in were successful and Mitchell was overall winners in all competitions.
The drawn Triples has been played and won by Robyn Scoble, Barbara Wood and Christine Fitzgerald who defeated Brigitte Szlasko, Kath Sach and Eileen Bromley. The game was notable as one of the four newest members, playing in her fourth game, reached the final and will no doubt benefit from the experience. That is the good thing about the drawn events as the teams are ‘random’ and everyone has a chance. This was the last game for Christine who has moved to Queensland after three very successful years at Dural.
