Sadly, ongoing flood impacts mean Crosslands Reserve cannot be open to the public this weekend. However, The council is working hard to reopen the Reserve next weekend, weather permitting.
Apart from floodwater that has not yet receded, Council outdoor staff need to remove large deposits of mud and sludge from the Reserve carpark and other areas. Barbecue facilities and playgrounds are still standing in water, camping areas are wet, drains need to be cleared, and roads and pathways swept of debris and silt.
Council thank you for your patience during this time − while the staff work hard to restore everything to good condition in one of Sydney’s most beautiful reserves.
In line with @NSWNationalParks closures, all Council bushland tracks and trails are closed until Monday next week at the earliest.
