Cafe Sasanqua Opens

Café Sasanqua is located within the beautiful surrounds of Camellia Grove Nursery in Glenorie and will be open from Friday 2nd June. The regular hours will be Wednesday to Sunday from 8am to 4.30pm. Early birds will be pleased to know they can pick up a takeaway coffee and bacon egg roll from 7am.

They will offer an all day breakfast menu which includes eggs benedict, baked eggs with chorizo, smashed avocado, house made granola, acai with fresh fruit, pancakes and, of course, a big breakfast – The Glenorie. Lunch is introduced from 11.30am offering sliders, quesadillas, salads, pastas and new and different specials regularly. There are also lighter menu options, for kids or anyone that prefers a smaller meal.

The selection of cakes and sweets are mostly home made and include gluten, dairy and nut free options. Art Caffe coffee and a great selection of teas from Jane’s Tea will complement your visit and are available to take away.

Where possible, ingredients are locally sourced to ensure optimum freshness and support our local growers. Local artists are invited to showcase their works and display individual pieces regularly.

Café Sasanqua has been created and is owned and managed by Sonja Best, a Glenorie local for more than 35 years. Sonja has an extensive background in business management, marketing, communications, human resources and finance in a variety of industries. But her real passion is in providing outstanding customer experiences and being able to combine that with her other loves of cooking and baking. She has created what she feels is a venue that you will love visiting as much as she loves being there.

Sonja calls the Café her “tree change” and is very happy to now be able to spend her days in the gorgeous environment of the nursery and still be so close to home.

With a talented and energetic team joining Sonja, we are set to see a great variety of fresh, healthy (and maybe a little indulgent) meals and treats, and receive good old fashioned, personable customer service.

Partnering with Ross Campbell of Camellia Grove Nursery, Café Sasanqua are very excited to have this new destination for Hills residents and visitors and look forward to welcoming you soon.
