The 2019 National will be organised by South Queensland Budgerigar Society and held in Brisbane. NB. Photographs of Logue winning birds at this years National Championship are shown within this article.
This years’ National Championship was won by Victoria, after having been neck and neck with New South Wales up until judging of the last few Varieties, when Victoria drew away for the win. National qualified judges at this years 44th Championship came from South Queensland, North Queensland, New South Wales and Germany. Hills Branch members were represented within many of the aspects of organising and running the championship, namely; registration and administration, computer services, competition stewards, transport services, tour administration and facilities management.
