BROMELIAD SOCIETY OF AUSTRALIA – JUNE MEETING

The Bromeliad Society of Australia will hold their next meeting at Federation Pavilion, Castle Hill Showground on Saturday, 8 June with plant sales commencing at 11am followed by the meeting at 12noon. Access is via the Showground entrance off Showground Road into Doran Drive, Castle Hill. There is plenty of parking on site.

As there isn’t a guest speaker planned for this meeting the Committee will provide an opportunity for members to learn how to identify the different genus. There are approximately 70 different genera within Bromeliaceae species from the Acanthostachys through to the Zizkaea.

There will be various samples of the bromeliads on display for members to learn how to compare varieties and to assist them with future identification of each genus.

Meetings include plant sales, club news, raffles and competitions as well as providing an opportunity to meet with like-minded people in a friendly and inviting environment. Contact Ian Hook – mobile 0408202269, email: [email protected] website: www.bromeliad.org.au
