The Bromeliad Society of Australia will hold their next meeting at Federation Pavilion, Castle Hill Showground on Saturday, 12 August commencing at 11am with plant sales, prior to the meeting at 12 noon.
Access is via the new Showground entrance off Showground Road into Doran Drive, Castle Hill.
At this meeting the President, Ian Hook together with experienced growers will provide practical demonstrations on dividing bromeliads, removing the pups and potting up the new plants. The type of potting mix that is best for bromeliads and whether to fertilize or not. The secrets on getting great colour on you bromeliads and the best location to grow your bromeliads in your garden.
The demonstration will also include how to grow bromeliads from seed and information of the Bromeliad Society of Australia’s seed bank. One of the members will also demonstrate how to create a beautiful arrangement for your home using bromeliad flower spikes and foliage.
Show and Tell will also provide an opportunity for members and guests to have their bromeliads identified.
